  1. BIBL/NET                                                   README.NOW

  4. This file contains information you should read before installing or
  5. running BIBL/NET.
  6.  
  7. If upgrading from a version of BIBL/NET earlier than 2.x, you must
  8. first convert your existing database to the structure used since
  9. release 2.0.
  10.  
  11. 1. This unregistered version of BIBL/NET is functionally identical
  12.    to the registered version with these exceptions:
  13.  
  14.    The Registered version will pick up the user name from
  15.    NetWare (the login name). If that name appears in the
  16.    BIBL/NET security database, then the user need only enter
  17.    a password.  If the name isn't found, there's no intervening
  18.    screen (as in SHAREWARE version which asks you to press RETURN
  19.    for Read-Only access), user moves directly to BIBL/NET.
  20.  
  21.    No nag reminders about registration.
  22.    
  23.    Registered version is compiled for 286/386/486 processors.
  24.    Will not run on an 8088 machine.   If you must have the
  25.    registered version running on an 8088 workstation, we can
  26.    supply you with a 8088 version of the software.

  28. 2. Read BIBLNET.DOC, particularly the brief sections on installation
  29.    and security.  Understanding these two sections is critical
  30.    for success with the program.
